Increased need at Lincoln’s Village of Hope

As Village of Hope ramps up its Christmas programming, executive director Cheryl Keddy Scott is seeing some familiar faces, but in new situations.

“Now they’re on the other side of the table,” she said, referring to families who supported the Lincoln agency’s hamper program last year, but who, as a result of COVID-19, are in need of help this Christmas season.

Uncertainty remains the calling card of the pandemic, having gripped Canada for the past 10 months. As numbers rose throughout the fall and are continuing to rise, communities enact further restrictions and the economic toll continues to be felt. Click link for more...
